Progress is a policy choice
The Institute for Progress (IFP) is a non-partisan research and advocacy organization founded in January 2022 by Alec Stapp and Caleb Watney. IFP is dedicated to accelerating scientific, technological, and industrial progress while safeguarding humanity’s future. IFP accepts funding only from individuals and foundations. A majority of our funding comes from Open Philanthropy, a foundation based in San Francisco. In the past year, we have also received support from Schmidt Futures, Patrick Collison, John Collison, and the Building a Stronger Future Foundation. You can read more about the vision and mission of our organization in this essay.
