Willy Chertman is a recently graduated physician working with 1Day Sooner as advocacy lead.

He is fascinated by health policy and research regulation and hopes to popularize innovative mechanisms to solve market failures in global health. In his spare time, he reads and blogs about the history of medicine and its regulation. He graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine with a MD/M.S. in Genomic Medicine and from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Biology and Political Science.
